UV Latin Dance Academy offers the best in Latin Dance instruction from World Champion dancers, Uriel Garcia and Vera Rowe. We are a "one stop shop" for dance, as our membership offers all types of classes including Salsa, Bachata, Cha-Cha-Cha, Hustle, Rueda Casino, Afro-Cuban and more. UV Latin Dance Academy is a progressive program that is built around mastering the foundational moves of Latin Dance. UV Latin Dance Academy can help you become a confident social dancer, a powerful performer or a competitive champion at the amateur, semi-professional and professional level.
Our philosophy at UV Latin Dance Academy is that all students begin at Level 1. We have a comprehensive curriculum that is progressively structured. If you are an experienced dancer who has already been through a comprehensive program, you can request an evaluation, which takes about 15 minutes and is FREE. The instructor will evaluate you and recommend what level would be best for you to start in. If you follow our syllabus from beginning to end, you will become a strong dancer who is capable of executing the dance at a high level because your understanding of the foundational moves are complete.
Level's 1-4 (our beginner curriculum) are six week long courses and each week is a building block to the next. For this reason we do not allow Drop-in students once the session has started. Level's 5-7, our Intermediate courses, are each 12 weeks long. The dancer is evaluated every 6 weeks by their instructor and given valuable feedback to help them continue to grow and develop as dancers. Level 8 & 9 are our most Advanced courses, where the students begin to learn complicated turn pattern work as well as intricate shines. These dancers are able to interpret music, play with different rhythms and execute the dance at a high level of difficulty.
We pride ourselves on being well organized and extremely professional. We strive to make sure that the name UV Latin Dance is always associated with excellence. We offer individualized instruction as well as group instruction to help you on your dance journey and we are honored to be a part of that.
